Open Angle the Samakonasana

Open Angle (aka Straight Angle) the Samakonasana is a fundamental yoga pose offering a number of physical and mental benefits. It helps to increase flexibility and joint mobility, reduce stress and tension, and improve digestion and circulation. It also helps to improve focus and concentration. The pose requires the practitioner to sit with the legs spread wide, then bend forward from the hips to fold the upper body over and reach the feet or shins. This pose is ideal for calming the nervous system and can be done as part of a Yoga flow sequence or as a standalone. For those with limited flexibility, a gentle version of the pose can be done with the elbows resting on the thighs. Open Angle the Samakonasana is a simple yet deeply beneficial position for cultivating overall improved well-being.
