Revolved Child’s aka Thread the Needle

Parshva Balasana, also known as Thread the Needle or Revolved Child's pose, is a yoga posture that helps increase flexibility of the spine while providing a number of benefits such as improved respiration and abdominal strength. This pose involves stretching both legs and arms outward to either side while still keeping the waist and chest facing the front. This posture helps elongate the abdomen musculature, making it a great pose to help with digestion. Additionally, it improves posture, as well as helps relieve stress and tension. Not only is this posture beneficial, but it is low-impact and perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Parshva Balasana can be a great addition to any yoga practice, helping improve mobility, balance, strength and stress-relief.
